Can you be a little more specific? What do you mean by "customer"? Many
contact managers will allow you set up categories that will allow you to
flag a contact as a customer.

If you have something else in mind, please post back.

something that releates contacts to customers? so to seperate item entries
one for customers and one for contacts (i.e. employees at the customers
work). a one to many relationship...

sounds like either a custom database application (try listpro ??) or use the
default contact app, and put the company name in the catagory field. you
can then group and filter by company.
