In a nutshell:
\"System Restore does not appear to be functioning correctly on this system.\"
\"The transfer syntax is not supported by the RPC server. (0x800706C2)\"

That's what System Restore greets me with - and a similar message with the Install Disc (can't honestly recall, but I'm sure it was the same).

OS: Vista Ultimate 64-bit
The rest of my specs should be under my configuration.
BTW, this is on the IFL90.

What I've done:
1) Chkdsk c: /f /r
2) scf /scannow
3) CCleaner - to fix registry errors

My most previous full system backup is like 4 weeks old, and I wanted to perform another backup of my data and while doing so, ran accross this error.

Misc.:
- Awhile ago, I installed Auslogics Boost program and performed registry modifications. Unfortunately, I uninstalled the program and did not undo any of those changes prior to discovering this problem...
- Ya, this sounds very eccentric or whatever, but I've cleared my RAC folders several times to remove many erroneous errors logged into my Reliability Monitor (hated seeing how \"unstable\" my laptop was when I know what caused the errors (human error was the reason....). Could that potentially be an issue?
