I'm trying to install vista on my computer, during the installation everything seems ok,but after the last restart,at first a black screen with Vista logo on top middle and some dots seems on display, then vista doesn't run..system is seems to be blocked..i tried lots of ways to install..different installation dvd's in to different harddrives..my system is completely new,my configuration is :

Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4 Ghz
4x2 Gb DDr2 = 8 Gb Memory
400Gb WD Sata HDD 16Mb Cache
320Gb WD Sata HDD
160Gb WD Sata HDD
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Mainboard
M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 Sound Card
LG DVD-RW Optical Drive
Sparkle Calibre N-Vidia 8600 GT Graphics Adapter

On this configuration;Windows XP Pro runs well, but any versions of Vista doesn't run (32 or 64 bit,no makes difference)

I tried lots of way,but i don't have any opinion about it,do you have some advices..

Thank you very much

Use one DIMM RAM in slot one, not 8GB's to install an OS. The system doesn't have the MB/chipset drivers installed and you are trying to run 8 GBs of RAM on it. Use one DIMM in slot one. In BIOS set the memory voltage to specs. 2.0-2.1v for PC26400. Set the timings to 5-5-5-15. Load the OS and install the MB/chipset drivers and OS patches. THEN add the other 6 GBs of RAM and adjust accordingly.
