Hi,
For info, I use the same settings on my desktop with thunderbird, and it
works great!
I'm trying to send email with my smartphone. Unfortunately it fails as
pocket outlook does not want to do a ssl connection. Pocket Outlook
gives the following error:
"A secure sockets layer (SSL) connection could not be established".
I can download my mail via imaps (port tcp 993) without problems, but
I'm not able to send mail.
I have the following options enabled:
1) "outgoing mail requires authentication"
2) use separate settings
3) user name: xyz
4) password: xyz
5) require ssl for outgoing mail
I'm hopeless what's wrong?!
Doesn't pocket outlook support the STARTTLS command, or SSL when sending
mail?
Perhaps someone could point me to another program?

I'm using "pocket pc phone edition" (with en e-ten m500).
Yes SSL is required.
Thx

You could try WebIS Mail and see if it works. If it fails then it could be
that you don't have the certificate on the Pocket PC, or the server is not
correctly configured.
