Has anybody used the stealth antenna. Did you buy the pre-amp with it.

I'm using the 3010 and the preamp mounted in the attic. Purchased them
at Fry's locally. I am in northern San Diego County and get no reception
of the San Diego/Tijuana DTV stations due to being on the north side of
a mountain.

With the 3010/preamp I am able to pick up almost all of the Los Angeles
DTV stations with very good signals. A few are difficult to get, and
exact placement and orientation of the antenna is critical, as well as
using the minimum practical coax length. We are almost line of sight to
the transmitter location over 85 miles away, and being up high on the
side of a mountain helps.

For the future I am considering testing the Channel Master 3021 and 7775
preamp to see if they improve the reception of the few LA stations that
have been very difficult to bring in consistently (KABC, KCAL).

I will eventually move the antenna outside to also reduce the
attenuation due to the roof tiles, but for now the Stealth and preamp in
the attic are providing very good reception for me.
