Freezing after re-install

I did a full re-install of XP, I deleted and created a new partition(I like doing a RAW install). And while surfing the web, at various web sites, my comp freezes or locks up. But my wifes computer is right next to mine, and she has no problems with freezing. While surfing the same web sites. And it's not that the web server, or my connection is bad. We use a linsys router, and have a very fast cable connection. I did a full re-install a few days ago, and haven't loaded much back onto my harddrive. I have plenty of room on them as well. Automatic updates hasn't installed anything new in a day or two, so I must be up to date. Need Help.
