I woke my computer up from Sleep to a dead screen with a white stripe covering 1/2 the screen and pixels showing all over the screen in different colors. Yet the pc was totally unresponsive. I just hit reset in the end.

Any thoughts what would cause this?

Thanks!

I just had the same thing happen again. Blank screen with Yellow on either side of a different colored center. Many pixels showing through.....wierd.

Had to reset yet again. Now its working fine. Why would the sleep mode do this. I have been using the sleep mode since I built this pc and haven't seen this problem.

Thoughts?

Have you isntalled any new software? Perhaps you have something that doesn't like to be put in sleep mode so when it wakes, you computer doesn't know what to do and locks up. Just a thought.

The only new thing thats been installed recently is IE7. But i've had the computer sleeping since then and didn't have a problem until today.....hmmm
