I have a basic question about dual booting Win XP and Vista 64.
If I have a Matrix Raid 0 with 2 partitions (one for XP and one for Vista 64), and I have a Matrix RAID 10 for everything else - Is there any problem with the two OS's sharing programs/data in the RAID 10? Or do you have to have programs loaded seperately for each OS? For instance - where would I load MS Word - presumeably in RAID 10, but does it matter if I install it while running XP, instead of VISTA (or vice versa)? Can the two OS's share the program or, for example, the data in Microsoft Outlook?
Can I load games in the RAID 10 and boot from either XP or Vista, and still play the game with either operating system? I am concerned that there might be problems with programs being altered by XP, and then when I boot with Vista - the program not working correctly.
The short answer is : Programs installed on one OS cannot be run on the other. But they can access data.
------------------------------Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground? Or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group?
