win xp 64 and hp 8510p

Hi .

I have ordered this laptop and was wondering , will installing xp64 make any difference over normal 32 xp ? the pc will have 2gb of ram . basically will xp64 give me any improvement ? i was thinking that the cpu can do 64 bit , so why not (at least for the operating system )

any thoughts or suggestions ? i do have acces to vista 64 business as well , but i kinda like XP . the lappy will be used for general surfing and also gaming .

Vista 64 works better with more ram, there is drivers issue as well make sure you got all the drivers that you need for the machine and scanners/printers etc..Any way I don’t recommend upgrading in your case.
