I've been having problems with the onboard audio on my motherboard and would be most grateful if someone could help me solve them. I have an ecs PA1 MVP Ver.2.0 with Realtek ALC880 audio, the problem is windows won't recognize my onboard audio like it is'nt there. I've installed the drivers off the cd and also updated them off the ecs website and also made sure onboard audio was turned in the system bios. Please help because I have an old soundblaster PCI in there right now and the way this stupid waste of money motherboard is set up it's right under my graphics card and seriously impedeing airflow. Oh yeah my OS is windows media center edition sp2 2006.
You should use either the onboard (motherboard) sound or the dedicated sound card. I suggest you use the sound card and disable onaborad sound in the Bios. A sound card always has better sound than the onboard sound.
