Macbook will not boot ubuntu 10 04 from cd

black screen with 2 icons on bottom and the disc just recycles and can not get to install page

black screen with 2 icons on bottom and the disc just recycles and can not get to install page

This is while I am trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx booting from live CD...help!!!

Could just be a badly burnt disk. Have you tried another one?
