normal for Zalman 9700 to twist/turn/rotate once installed?

My Zalman 9700nt is tightly fastened and secured, but I can still rotate it a couple degrees with a medium amount of force. Is this normal?

yea mine too but it doesn't sit there and spin around actually helped with no air pockets in the cooling grease

I have a 9700 installed and I was worried at first by this as well. The way I see it, as long as the contact between the HSF and the plate on the 9700, it will be fine.

Think of it as a feature to be able to slightly modify the direction that the air flows
