My buddies labtop had a virus, and we used his recovery disc to format the drive than reinstall windows.
everything runs fine, and then it loads the software. But after the software, it tries to load windows and gets an error.


Now we have a formatted drive and a recovery disc that we can't get to work. What should we do?

Did this recovery disk come with the system? Or did you make it with the OEM recovery disk program?

What manufacturer is it? (Let me guess, it's an Acer?).
