Install linux and did not backup window's files.

Hello, I install ubuntu and forgot to backup my documents. What should i do?

Not much you can do. Data retrieval is quite expensive, ridiculous even.

Depends how you installed is the correct answer. Default install for Ubuntu only uses free disk space and is non destructive, you would still have windows installed and be able to browse to the files.

If you ignored the warnings and selected the option to used the full disk the yes, you are in trouble. There are some tools out there that can be run to try and find files on the disk, I had to do this on a Mac for somebody a while back.

I have to say though that it's most likely that you have lost it...
