Why is disk drive F not showing up?

Im at a hotel and that might have something to do with it but im not quite sure. I put in a sandisk microSD adapter in the slot and nothing shows up in drive (F). Only for a split second after i take it out does something show up. Any suggestions?

Is there a MicroSD card in that adapter?
