Chkdsk found strange errors on C: (index entry and (MFT) bitmap)

While I was watching a video my pc froze, so i had to turn it off, when windows XP booted it ran a chkdsk on c: which reported the following errors.


One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You
may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended
that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.

What could of caused these errors?
