What printer works on windows 2000, nt

are there any 'new' printers that will work on windows 2000/nt?
ordered a printer from canon.....they said it would work. it doesn't!!!!

First, for NT 4.0 you will need to use a printer that connects either by parallel cable or network.

Second, many printers can use a print driver form an older model. I have done this with HP printers. You will need to manually load the older driver, then try a test page.
