Registry Fix / Repair - No Boot Condition

I posted this fix for someone in the hardware forum and thought I would clean it up and move it to here for anyone else. It does work when nothing else will.

Download UBCD for Windows and make a Boot CD. This should work on RAID, at least RAID0. UBCD runs very slow so be patient.

Follow these instructions to replace the registry hive with the backup and then do a restore. It's all in the link.

MS says it doesn't work with OEM, but I think they mean OEM from HP, Dell etc. that has been modified. I'm not 100% sure about the OEM from places like Newegg, but it should work.

This repair can be done without the UBCD4WIN, by using the command prompt, but it is a lot easier with it.
