Hello,im loading windows xp professional on to my laptop i just want a normal configuaration as if it came from the shop with a c and d drive ive got to the partition stage what MB shold i store on the c drive

Depends on the drive size, you'd probably want at least a gig for Windows files and updates, plus whatever applications you want. Unless you play games, 20 gig should be plenty for Windows and some basic programs. You don't need a D drive unless you want to keep your files separate from the Windows setup which may be a good idea so you can format and re-install the C partition without touching your files on D.
