More Information

I just bought the OEM system builders version of Vista Home premium 64 bit from newegg.

I already have a MSDN version of Vista (all in one) including 64 bit versions, downloaded. my question is, can I install the version I already have downloaded and use my key to activate it when the disc arrives?

I was told, I wouldn't be able to activate it online with an OEM key, that I would have to call..

is this normal procedure?

I try to avoid OEM software. I bought a retail copy of Vista Home Basic Upgrade edition for $25 off eBay. It was used, but a quick call to the MS 800# got it activated.
