For the past 2 weeks my Verizon DSL has been random dropping connection for 1-3 minutes multiple times a day. The later it gets the worse it seems to get, w/ Midnight-4am having multiple drops in an hour.

My router is a Linksys WRT54GC and I have 2 PCs wired to it, my Wii via wireless, and from time to time, my laptop wirelessly. MAC address filtering is set to only allow the Wii and laptop's MAC addresses to access via Wi-Fi as well.

I originally assumed this was a Verizon problem. I've had this setup for over a month with no problems, but then when I did some testing of the router jacked straight into one PC, the random drops seem to go away.

I plan on running in this mode for the weekend to see if I get any drops, but I was curious to know if anyone ran across this and had some suggestions if this turns out to be a Linksys router issue. Which if the case, would have me baffled as to why this started out of the blue.

Oh, and my router firmware is 1.03.0

my connection was dropping often when my router and modem were near my television. i moved the router and modem far away from other electrical devices. solved the problem for me but it took alot of trouble to narrow the problem down to something as simple as this.
