so recently while playing games (which means WoW) in windowed mode, after a while, my desktop gets a bit jumpy which leads, after some time, to a magnificent outburst of red/green/blue/purple artifacts, noise and bars.

im running ATItool and my fan is spining and temps are perfectly fine, and my card isnt OCed at all.

is it just dying? its around 3 years old.

You could say that....
CHECK YOUR PSU CONNCETIONS TO YOUR PARTS ASAP!!!!

About 5mos ago when my crap ultra psu died, this is basically what happened. When I began to check around, I found one of the leads on my mobo power connnector was fried.

all i know is that my 3.3v is going at around 2.8v (been going on for several months, didnt really have any prob) and my damn asusmonitor keeps giving me warnings... but i thought 3.3v had nothing to do with parts such as the gfx card (besides maybe fan)

i must be an ignorant :p

The EVGA brand offers the step up program which is more appealing to people. Theres other brands like BFG that would also also provide warranties even when the card is overclocked.

I'm not sure about other brands covering ocing.

i would agree with the above, except i do know for a fact that the power that goes into the card is at 3.3v on AGP, I'm not sure about (PCI-Express>>>) lol, the pci express logo...

does that mean that the low 3.3v could be the reason my gfx card is failing? if not well it time to shell out the big bucks
