i got an acer laptop with an ati 3400 gfx card.

I cant play any games on it cause it says i only have a Standard VGA card in, which ofcourse is not true.

Ive tried searching for the problem, but cant seem to get any straight answer, does anyone have a suggestion? It has workded before, but i dont have the original installed files due to i tried to un-install it to make it detect properly again.

Just had a look at the vista hardware list what types are supported etc, its not supported hmm. Its a fairly new card so i guess i have to hope for the best before they release drivers :(

If it came with Vista on it, then it most likely has a driver.

One thing you should do before posting is imagine that the people are going to have no idea what your situation is and what hardware you have. Then post the appropriate information for us to help you.

What Acer notebook do you have?

------------------------------ Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground, or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group.
