so should i get Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit Home Premium for System Builders Single Pack DVD - OEM??? this 1?$95

Personally I would buy the more expensive version (5 bucks) and get SP1 done with and installed right from the beginning. If you go for the cheaper version without SP1, the SP1 serice pack will be installed via Windows updates or you can install it the SP1 your self.

VISTA OEM/w SP1 is what I would get. SP1 has many significant 'fixes' including improved superfetch capability. If you do not want to spend the $5, just get VISTA 32 OEM and install SP1 yourself or have Windows downloads do it for you. VISTA retail gives you a pretty box and some online support that OEM does not.

SP1 is not 'features'. It is a Service Pack to fix issues that have come to the attention of M$ and have been addressed or remedied.

More technically, you can download and read what changes Vista SP1 will make.
