I just did a hard drive reformat and clean install of Vista. Then had to install 50+ updates. Now this stupid update keeps popping up in the Windows Updater, but every time I try to install the thing, it fails showing error code 8000FFFF.

Next I tried downloading and installing it by itself directly from Microsoft's website and failure again.

I could care less if I get this 'recommended' update, but want it banished from popping up in my Windows Updater. Is there a way to either delete, decline, or otherwise terminate a single update from doing this???

P.S. I know I can turn off 'recommended' updates, but would rather not if I can work around it another way.
