Windows XP Service Pack 3 is out again, grab it while it’s hot…or before it gets pulled again. This file is directly from Microsoft dated today so it should be the latest version.
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes all previously released updates for the operating system. This update also includes a small number of new functionalities, which do not significantly change customers’ experience with the operating system.

Lets get a link to some detailed instructions on how to make a slipstreamed XP SP3 Disc... after some of you bold adventures have figured it out, that is...
Just installed it a few minutes ago. Does the install leave behind junk files anywhere? I'm missing a bit of space. I remember past service packs left behind files but can't remember where they were.
Edit: Man I must be blind. Is it ok to delete the servicepackfiles folder?

Slipstreamed my coporate copy for my office last night, quick and easy with Autostreamer. All you do is tell it where your xp cd is, what service pack you'd like to integrate and it creates the ISO file for you. Then just burn it using Nero or Roxio or whatever. It's worth it to have the xp cd with all of the bundled security updates in-place and not downloading and installing 92 updates.

Install went fine for me and I have not seen any noticeable increase in performance. I'd imagine any increase would probably be more noticeable on slower computers, I don't know though.
I did a test install on my test machine, then did MSUpdate. Date rape. This, just a few days after SP3 re-released. Is this a bad sign? I thunk it HAD all the patches in it!
