Printer data switch for linux and windows

Hello,
I linux 11.2 installed on a desktop pc and windows 07 on a laptop. I want to use the same printer for the two equipment so i purchased a printer data switch which comes with a windows cd containing device drivers for windows. How do I resolve the linux issue in respect of drivers. please assist.
