Hello !

We are running Linux db3 2.6.28-15-server #52-Ubuntu SMP in ai7 980x Hexa core machine. We are finding that only 8 cores are being shown in /sys/devices/system/cpu instead of 12. Has anyone got this working ? If so what should be done. Please advice.

Thanks.

I know this is an old thread, and maybe you've already found the answer.

Typically an SMP enabled kernel is defaulted to have a max of 8 processors. You should try and generate a custom kernel and up the processor count higher. The kernel sees each HT core as a processor.
