I am the IT guy for a small company, and I have been formatting all the Dell workstations and doing a clean install of XP Pro. I noticed that I can use the same Dell OEM Windows disk on every PC and it doesn't ask for a serial number. Is this the case on all Dells? Could I potentially install XP on a new laptop that currently has Vista using the same XP disks that came with the 4 year old PC's?

I've used a Dell Windows XP CD to install XP on a Dimension 4400 that came with Win 2K and it worked. As long as you can get the XP drivers for the laptop.
