Remote Desktop Failure

I have read a lot post about Remote Desktop trouble shooting. But none of them address my problem.

I want to remote control my laptop at office from home desktop computer.

The problem is: I try to remote control("remote desktop"program in XP) the office laptop from other computers, the laptop seems to response the request. Current user got kicked out and screen goes to the user logon page. However everything stops right here. Half minute later the remote computer will report connection error. I try to connect the laptop again and got a connection error message immediately.

The office laptop can run "remote desktop" to control other computers very well. but no computers can remote control this laptop.

here's what I've done on the laptop:

check the "remote desktop" basic setiings.
turn off the firewall.
run portqery to verify the port 3389 is listening.
check the services required are running. "telnet sevice", "terminal services".

everything seems fine. Am I missing something?

Need your advice, Appreciate it.
