hey hows it going i am going to be upgrading here in the next week, but i am really not to sure which of these builds would be better, any feedback would be awesome. These are the components im looking at

Hey, looks like the first is a better combo:

The Patriot RAM runs a tad bit faster with their tighter timings. The DS3 I hear is very good for overclocking. I would stick with the Patriot RAM and the Gigabyte DS3 board. If you included some other information, like if you were overclocking or not, it would be easier to decide.

i dont know crap bout overclocking i want to but i dont wanna hurt the system
ive been told you can overclock easy with the ds3 and e6600. I pulled the patriot and the msi board off the medium range system that was done the other day

You can overclock any of the C2Ds, The e6600 is the top end, many people buy a lower end cpu and O/C to the higher levels for free. The e4400 is a very good one, as you can get that to run faster than e 6600 with a medium O/C. The DS3 is a good board, only biggie is no firewire but some people do not use it.
