Hi Guys,

I'm running a program written in Python that has a known memory leak. What is the best configuration in XP pro to deal with this?

I'm running

XP Pro 32bit
4GB physical memory
PAE enable
DEP disabled
Page file set to 0MB

Is this the best config?

Thanks,

Josh

Setting page file to 0 can actually lower performance. Windows will put unsed programs into the page file. This will free more memory for use by other programs. Some programs need a page file to work correctly.

If it has a memory leak then the leak needs to get fixed. Nothing else you do is going to stop the leak.
