Like the thread title says: Vista 64, Is it mature enough for gaming? See my sig.

I am about to upgrade my last legacy componant, the sata150 to a 7200.11 sata3.0G. While i am at it, i would like to take advantage of the RAM and DX10 video cards i have by installing Vista 64.

At this point i have 4G of pc6400 and 1G of video memory. WinXP 32 only sees 3G of system memory due to the 4G limit minus the vid memory. The 3870 support dx10.

I feel i am shorting myself by not upgrading to vista 64 to take advantage of the RAM and DX10. Besides, RAM is cheap, i could get another 4G to max out my RAM.

Are the drivers for vista 64 mature enough now for gaming and the associated hardware?

------------------------------ Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground? Or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group?

I can't speak for ATi's drivers... but I do know that nVidia's drivers seem to work well.
