Very recently (within this last month) Yahoo Messenger (Whatever the LATEST 9.0 version is) has been giving me a Login Error. It tells me that Yahoo cannot log me in at this time and for me to try back later and then gives me an error code (which I cannot remember because I have uninstalled Y! Messenger).
Now before I continue, please note that I have not changed ANYTHING in my system as EVERYTHING was working prior to a week ago.
I did some research on the code, and it basically told me something about a proxy connection...but I don't run through a proxy connection at all. So then I found out that Internet Explorer has something to do with why Yahoo Messenger can't connect. Something about how Y! Messenger use IE's connection properties, and if IE can't connect to HTTPS sites that Yahoo Messenger won't work. I am totally at a loss for what to do.
I have NEVER used IE as I hate it and use FireFox instead. And I have never messed with any connection preferences in either program. Everything else is running just fine, I'm just getting big trouble with these programs. I'm attaching a HiJackThis log as well.
Can someone please help me?!!?
