Please help. I am new at this.

I have a server and 2 workstations. I recently had to reinstall OS on 1 of my workstations. I reconnected it to the server, ran network software, assigned a ip, and I have successfully pinged it from server. I have mapped the drive to my workstation.Everything appears ok. I can successfully ping from and to all my workstations and server.

Here is my problem and i hope someone can help me. I am running Videotrace software ( i have a small video store).
It requires me to execute a .bat file to access the program on the workstation. I have set up a icon on my workstation desktop calling the appropriate .bat file. I execute the icon and it attempts to run the program, opens the windows, then it closes the dos window (program is in dos).

Any help would be appreciated. I am totally confused ( which lately appears to be my normal state). I have mimiced every setting i can find on the workstation that i did not have to repair.

Thanks in advance.
