I have a Toshiba L533, my DVD ROM is not working I get an eror code 39 when I try to reinstall the drivers. Can you assist?

i have had this sort of problem before what i did was go into the regestries by START-RUN-regedit. and find the file containing the DVD drive. i first mad a back up of this folder on the desktop the i deleted the to regestriy item that where called upper and lower filters this is the path to find the files:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
if there is more than one sub folder pick the first one
this solved by problem
