Have you recently installed an application or driver? If it is
hanging, you may have a problem. A sure fire fix is to do a hard
reset, but this will clear the memory on your device and return it to
the brand new out of the box condition. See your manual for directions
on doing this.

Before doing this, please soft reset after removing any cards from the
memory slot to ensure that isn't your problem.

Thanks. I did the hard reset and my pocket pc isn't frozen anymore. Now
I'm trying to sync it up again. I'm getting an error when I try to install
Activesync (both 3.7.1 and 3.8):

"Could not copy the file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local
Settings\Temp\IXP000.TMP\core\inf\wceusbsh.inf (copy error -1)"

I successfully installed it once and chose the "restore" option from the
window that popped up. When I realized I didn't want to restore, but wanted
to synchronize, I uninstalled activesync and then reinstalled it. I figured
this would get me back to the window where I could choose to synchronize
instead of restore, but then I started getting the above error message.

Please help. My life depends on my pocket pc. LOL.

Uninstall Norton Utilities - leave Norton AV there, it is fine. Once
NU is uninstalled go to c:\windows\inf and delete all of the zero byte
..inf files, then reboot and install ActiveSync. Then use your NU CD
for a frisbee or something. :-)

I don't have Norton Utilities. I was able to install Activesync before and
have been using it on this PC for years. I'm thinking maybe the registry
got screwed up because I installed Activesync 3.8 and then tried to go back
to 3.7. Any ideas?

Thanks.
