I recently purchased a hard drive off of newegg, a 7200RPM Seagate drive for my notebook. I have SpeedFan running and the alarms are going off. I mine this thing is hitting 120F while doing drive intensive apps. Is this bad, and why is the health of the drive at 85% and I've haven't had the drive for longer than 4-hours

I moved from a 4200RPM to a 7200RPM, so i'm not used to the heat and noise, i mean is fast, but fast and hot. SpeedFan's health monitor dropped from 100% to 85%, is that good. I mean this hard drive is 6 hours old, just ordered it yesterday from newegg

Having never used a 7200rpm 2.5" drive, I can't really help much. Heat would go up with the faster RPM drive though. As for drive health, reformat, reinstall, and defrag.
