Well, I just installed Vista 64 Home Premium and I got distracted early on and forgot to setup a 50 GB partition for the OS.
So, after installation I went to disk management and tried to shrink the volume down (I installed it on a 500GB HDD).
Running Shrink it tells me:
Total size before shrink in MB: 476938
Size of available shrink space: 238404
I haven't loaded a single new thing on my HDD. I literally just finished installing Vista about 15 minutes ago. How can I free up more space. Vista maxes out at 238404!
Since it was a new install, I rebooted the machine with the Vista Installation CD in the drive. I then deleted the partition which had the current copy of Vista. Next I created a new partition of around 40GB (which I hope will be enough long term). I then installed Vista to the 40GB partition. Looks good so far.
