Quick DirectX Question Tags: Games Windows Vista Directx Last response: July 13, 2008 10:47 PM in Windows Vista Share genzeleam July 13, 2008 8:21:02 PM I was wondering if you could, on Vista, run games in DirectX 9 by choice instead of 10? Or do I have to stick with 10? Thanks More about : quick directx question notherdude July 13, 2008 9:30:26 PM If the game even has DX 10 capability and you have a DX 10 video card you can still choose to use DX 10 it or not to use it. Or so it has been for me so far. Vista is backwards compatible. It works with most all DX 9 games and with DX 9 video cards. DX 10 is very optional. m 1 l genzeleam July 13, 2008 9:49:32 PM notherdude said:If the game even has DX 10 capability and you have a DX 10 video card you can still choose to use DX 10 it or not to use it.
