Hello,

I want to use "fdisk" on my windows2000 system with lots of data on it. what do I do? please help me to start.

Why do you want to us fdisk? What are you trying to do?

It's normally safer to use one of the partition manipulation programs (gparted is a free example) but you should make sure that you have a backup of any important data before messing with partitions. It's a good idea to have such a backup anyway; that way there will be less tears when your hard disk expires.
