I can't get my windows back to work. Here's what happened: I rebooted my pc, and since then, windows is not loading. There, seems like is some error, which Windows, when i boot my pc is trying to fix. " You may cancel the disk check, but is is strongly recommended that you continue". If I skip the check - nothing happens and Windows does not load. If I continue check, , the screen remains with 100% and check complete, but still Windows doesnt load.
I tried:
1) Safe mode - it shows some numbers on a black screen and then remeins black =[[ - does not load
2) Boot the last "correct" configuration - nothing happened, the disk check screen again.. that freezes - does not load.
3) Resetting my bios :D, iono why but i was jsut angry on my pc. that didnt help for sure :D
My file system is FAT32 - this is sad, right?

Okay, here's a question: How to save my Windows, if thats possible? I have a lot of data there. should i try installing a new one on the same hdd? However i have 1 hdd divided into twom so bios sees 2 hdd's really, the "2nd" one is for storage and is NTFS.

Could you post the number seen when in safe mode please?

Before installing windows again on your other partition (this is your other option). Try booting the Win CD and progress to the screen that displays your partitions (just before installing) there might be an option to repair the installation, it all depents on the origional setup.

If Windows can't be rescued we should be able to save your data.

These actually #not numbers# last like 1 second. I used a burst mode to take a photo :P

After these, there is another black screen with "Press ESC to cancel loading SPDT.sys" if i press esc --> blue screen and restart. If i don't, the title dissapears and theres just a white blinky-console-thing in the top left corner.

So, there is no way to fix windows =[

Ok , well SPDT.sys seem to be related to the Daemon Tools program.

I would definately try a Windows repair first. If that doesn't work you could try renaming or deleting the file using the recovery console. Let me know if you need help with that.

Boot from CD & when the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts then choose the repair or recover option by pressing R. You'll be presented with a question about which operating system you wish to use. You only have one so the answer to the question should be option 1. Sometimes the next bit takes a while to come up so be patient.

When prompted, type the Administrator password (if there is one, if not just press enter. You should have a normal dos prompt now.

Looking around look like the file is in the drivers directory, so type the following commands.

cd windows\system32\drivers (to navigate to the directory)

we’ll just rename the file for now its safer, so next command.

ren spdt.sys oldspdt.sys (this will rename the file). If we’re in the wrong place you’ll get an error about can’t find file.

Reboot the system and see what happens. If Windows doesn’t boot normally try the safe mode option again. I suggest if Windows does boot in some form after this you copy all the stuff you need straight away.
