Bootable USB DSL

well, i have searched about it tons of times but no avail. I formatted the flash drive in fat32 xcopied everything, set usb as first boot media and still it shows OS not present.. I have SanDisk cruzer micro 4GB, Asus M4A785T-M, AMD Phenom x4 B55. plz help!

But did you make the flash drive bootable? It's not just a question of copying the files. Have a look at this site.

Have a look at unetbootin for all your flash drive booting needs, anything you can boot from a CD it can make boot from flash.

xcopied? That's windoze talk. :pfff: 
Do you have a working Linux install to use? How about Trinity or System Rescue CD?
Use the linux command line and do it right -- see references at this site , specifically from CrunchBang, which cannot be installed using UNetbootin! :kaola: 

Also, check out ULTILEX, FYI, and try out TinyCore! :love:
