Hello

I have a big problem with my crossfire system I think has to do with drivers:
-------------------------------------
Here is the short story but if its not short enough you can skip it:

I just recently bought a pc from NCIX. I asked them to add another of the same gpu 4870 512 mb so I can crossfire. They said they already shipped it(which was wrong) :they cant add any more changes. I said well okay I guess I can install it myself later so I ordered the GPU separately.

But the shipping got delayed and delayed I emailed and they said it will be shipped on Monday. (So first they said they already shipped it so they can't add another gpu and now...)

Anyway finally the PC arrived. I tried to install the gpu, since I am inexperienced it took me a hack alot of time. I installed it succesfully but the cabling was all messed up touching the cooler so I had heating problems (105 degree celcius!!!). Games would lock up in a few minutes.

Fixed it (Tidied up the cables, was a pain). No more over heating...

--------------------------------------

*Here is the bigger problem: I cant launch any 3D Application now!?! I tried to uninstall Catalyst Control Center (it was giving an error) and in the mean time I think I messed up the drivers. I went to ATI and reinstalled the Catalyst Control Center (along with the latest driver). Still the same problem: applications immediately give an error and closes.

Please Help! Absolute Nightmare experience so far!

Thanks...

Hmmm... have you checked if your DirectX is updated? What about the drivers of your video card?
