Hi all,

I have a system for about 6 months and recently the mouse started moving on its on while I am using it. For example I would move the pointer in the centre of the screen and it would suddenly be at the start menu .. I don't know if this could be a hacker because I have been picking up some trojan horses recently and I am always connected to the internet. Could any one tell me what is causing this and how can it be solve?

Thanks for the help

Get one of those cans of air for cleaning computer parts and blow out the light hole on the mouse, sometimes fine hairs or lint will get trapped in there and cause your problem.

I had a real cheap mouse, and when the sun hit it, it would stop working.
The sun shined through the mouse cover and over-lit the internal light counting the spokes on the wheel.
Might not be quite the same thing because it stopped the mouse from moving, but I now tell everyone,
if your mouse doesn't work, close your blinds :)
I've also had the mouse take off, but it is just a hairy table.
