I recently re-installed an old copy (4 years) of winxp home 32 bit (after my sp2 disks were giving me trouble.) There are 3 320gb hd's and 2 36gb raptors. I actually chose to install winxp home on one of the 320's but a couple of odd (to me) things happened.
First, it formatted the 320's into two partitions, 1 equal to the other. I did not notice this at the time (I was in a hurry.) My winxp pro sp2 disks never did this.
Second, it installed winxp on c:\ as I wanted but then it has "(System)" on e:\ (another 320gb split in two.) I found this in the disk management section.
Frankly it runs great, but there are no files to be seen on the e:\ drive. I back up my c:\ drive regularly and I am wanting to know if something will be amiss with the backup because that (System) disk is on e\?
I've just never seen this "(System)" disk thing before.
