This is my first time posting on this website. Please bare with me, for I know NOTHING about computers! I'm hoping to find some kind of help here. I have a laptop, it's a Intel Celeron Gateway. I was watching a video on youtube.com the other day, and bam it froze, so I rebooted it, and got the blue screen of death! I tried to reboot in safe mode, nothing works.
So I created a Knoppix CD, and I can get into my computer that way, so I don't think that its hardware. I think its a bad driver. iastor.sys is what it's telling me on the blue screen. I did some research on the intel website and got the new upgraded version of the intel storage manager and now i have no clue what to do. I was told to go into the BIOS and change the SATA and it wont let me scroll down to it. Can you install the new driver through knoppix. please help me, again i'm a complete idiot when it comes to computers! Thank you in advance
