Hello,
im not very good with computers. My ex installed ubuntu 10.04 and deleted windows from my computer. I asked a friend to take it off and instal windows. But my friend said it wouldn't allow him because my ex installed ubuntu wrong and it's missing drivers? I tried at least getting on the wired internet but i accidently deleted eth0 and eth1. Is there anything I can do my laptop is fairly nice and I have no idea how to use it nor can I get on the internet

In the BIOS make sure that the boot order has the CD-Rom as first boot device

put your Windows CD in and it should boot of the CD and start the installation.

when you get to the point where it asks you which drive to install it on make sure you delete all current partitions and choose the now empty drive to install it on.

the only thing is you might need drivers for the hard drive controller but therefore you need to tell us make and model your laptop is.

I would recommend going to OSdisc and making a few purchases.
Specifically, SystemRescueCD (use it to wipe your hard drive clean with zeros -- see an earlier post here at this forum on How2) and an easy to use Linux for the Windows-addicted, like Zorin

Then come back here for help, again! best wishes, and don't give up.
