Hello Ladies and Gentleman! :D

Does your system runs slower than it suppose to be? :?
Do you have an old Windows XP and you love the way you manage it but it seems so slow? :(
Do you have lots of unused files and want to get rid of them? :x
Do you want to get rid of any traces from your previews hardware? :x
OK OK! :D
Here is my first episode of "Tips that make your system runs more efficiently.." 8) that introduce three free programs that help your old Windows runs much faster and more efficiently.
Try them! as they are so small.
:!: Note: Tested under Windows XP Professional Service Pack2 but should have no problem under Windows Vista.
----------
1-Driver Cleaner Professional

Software Description 8)

Driver Cleaner Professional Editon is a program which helps you to remove parts of drivers that are left after uninstalling the old drivers. The program is for ATI, nVidia, Creative, Realtek, SIS, 3Dfx, S3 and more drivers. First you need to uninstall the drivers from the control panel, then reboot. After rebooting, run the program. If you really want a good description of what steps you should take, then you really need to read the readme file included in the zip file and installation as it contains a detailed step by step description. The program also fully supports windows themes and other kind of themes.
Driver Cleaner Professional Editon now has a Live Update. It will check online for new cleaning files and updates.

:!: IMPORTANT: uninstall any older version first before installing Driver Cleaner Professional.

It is for nVidia, ATI, Creative, Turtle Beach, SIS Graphics, 3Dfx and others. It will remove anything that is left by the drivers after uninstall.
Download Driver Cleaner Professional Edition version 1.5 (2.6MB)
----------
2-CCleaner (Crap Cleaner)

May 17, 2007 10:18:02 PM

This is hilarious, your a big crying vagina. You posted a helpful thread for some, that's cool. Not everyone leaves replies. I've been on this forum for years and just started recently putting a few post here and there. Who cares if people don't like you. Stop looking for attention and go do something. I did like the post and think you should followup with another. But if you keep crying like someone that never leaves his / her house reaching for attention on the net. Then me and a lot of others are just going to keep reading your threads and laughing.
May 17, 2007 10:25:33 PM

When I have a problem, especially if it's been a while, a format/reinstall is always the best way to speed shyt up. Just backup, download newest drivers and only takes a couple hours...:)  just my 2 cents
May 17, 2007 10:30:39 PM

After reading the original thread I was tempted to post a thank you, but after reading your incessant crying for attention afterwards I just want to try and regain the past 5 minutes of my life back.

Cool. Thanks for the info, I get tired of sifting through the freeware/shareware looking for good progs to do these things(that actually work that is). :)
May 17, 2007 10:54:03 PM

to do evil well is veeerry easy
to something good well is much harder and people will give a lot of reasons to give up
i think that these forums are for sharing info and good stuff like Farhang posted
well ignorance can kill ....
pls do not ignore

Not a bad little guide :)

I'd advise against posting any cracks etc in episode 2 though. The mods have a job to do and it would be against the T&C's. Be a shame to have something that's above the usual flame wars pulled on a technicality. I liked the creative hint on how to get the latest version and if it does it by default I hardly see how anybody could see it as a 'hack' in the bad sense of the word.
May 17, 2007 11:00:53 PM

I have CCleaner and it works great!
Going to try the driver cleaner when i get home and see what happens. I hate the windows defragger, i have to run it overnight while i sleep cuz it just takes too long.
Thanks!
May 17, 2007 11:01:33 PM

Far,

Good idea...

I think it would be good to link to sites like this one too: Black Viper!!

The Viper has great tweaks and also a good established rep!

Good Luck..

WOW....awesome guide.

I WANT MORE............

And to answer the desktop visual thing question, YES, I WANT MY DESKTOP TO LOOK COOL TOO!

..try Vista Transformation Pack v6. Won't require too much system resources compared w/ StyleXP.
May 18, 2007 3:34:59 AM

Thanks for the good linkage.
The Vista GUI mod looks nice, but I'm going to have to say that I've got to stick with my own creation:

Oh yeah, crack kills.
May 18, 2007 4:19:25 AM

I prefer window blinds themes but I am not sure how taxing it is on the system and there are a lot of websites that give free high resolution wallpapers.

I'd say it was a nice read and a good effort.
May 18, 2007 4:33:50 AM

Sweet. Thanks for the links. Im always pissed when XP slows down. And don't worry about people not posting, I've started a couple threads b4 and have had very few replies, so I know what u mean. lol. Take everything with a grain of salt.
May 18, 2007 8:17:11 AM

I wish that i could make it a sticky for new users!
(writing Episode 2 as this reply posted :D  )
May 18, 2007 8:20:35 AM

Keep up the excellent work and follow the topic, and you can get a sticky. Very good stuff to refer back to when in the mood for tweaking your system.
May 18, 2007 8:53:05 AM

Maybe I should go off and make a seperate thread for this.
May 18, 2007 9:46:29 AM

Hey man, dont stress.. Sometimes people are afraid of installing aftermarket software that could potentially mess-up their windows install... BUT, i would like to say thank you for providing us with those links! I will definitely check them out! ;)
May 18, 2007 9:50:41 AM

I am not sure, what are you trying to show? I Image is still blurry for me on fullscreen. See some nice looking MODs

Go sell some cookies somewhere else!

Haha just joking. Are these stuff free and legit?
May 18, 2007 11:00:49 AM

For folks who have been into computers for while, defragging, running AV, or using clean-up utilities are nothing new. This thread is more helpful for the newly initiated or the casual computer user. It does remind me of a recent Maximum PC article, though.

Good idea and nice effort. Get busy with putting together Episode 2 already.

P.S. - I strongly advise against posting any cracks or serials in these forums.

May 18, 2007 12:49:29 PM

I just been informed that all of the PerfectDisk on the web gets trial (30days). :? and they deleted the previews free version from download servers!
But don't worry guys! i won't let you down! :D
I have the free version & i`m beginning to upload it on the web so you can easily download & update it to the last version.(Since i have a poor Dial-up connection, it's gonna take a while to upload the file.  )
I need to say big apologize for this mess!
May 18, 2007 1:15:45 PM

Haha, ok.. But the thing is, i downloaded it from work.. So now i wont be able to download that same file again without raising a few eyebrows.. (we have a download limit)
May 18, 2007 1:27:05 PM

Dam it!
Sorry Dude! :(
My connection is soooooooooo slow! :(
and i don't have much time! :(
It seems that everything is against me! :(  (Why God hates me this much?)
May 18, 2007 1:32:40 PM

Dude, chill out.. Why do you seem so, um, depressed? 8O
May 18, 2007 3:12:54 PM

Why?
Can't you see Why i am so angry?
Just look at the people's comments on Episode 2!
Instead of a very little "Thank you @$$ hole for spending 10 hours on these two episodes!" i got some huge flames about the TITLE!
Dam it people, some of you don't deserve a $hit!
May 18, 2007 3:20:42 PM

I finally uploaded the FREE version of PrefectDisk!

Maybe everyone was too busy using the tools, taking the time to use them right, that they didn't have time to post!
May 18, 2007 3:31:09 PM

Thanks bud.

I'm only wondering if the disk defrag utility works under Vista Home Premium 64-bit?

My system is dual-boot (with WXP) but I really don't want to defrag Vista partition through XP. I'm just affraid it may cause problems if I do this.

Thanks!

Well, your slowed down system probably won,t bother your effort to play minesweeper I hope  .

No offence, I just couldn't resist.

Have a good day bud!

The Raxco site said that it works fine under Windows Vista(didn't write witch version of Vista). You can try it but just make sure that you update it before using it!
May 19, 2007 4:03:45 AM

Go to hell.
Who needs games like oblivion and others where you need enough gpu power to simulate a space launch, I'd much rather play minesweeper at 100 fps with my built in radeon x200. Thats how we in the developing world do it, thanks for pointing it out. Jerk

And the force is not with you
