Hey!

Have been a long time since i used x64 edition last time, but back then a few years ago it was REALLY instable, bad with drivers and so on.

Since i want to use my 64bit CPU and 4GB RAM to the fullest i wanna try it once more.

But how is x64 edition today?
Do they still make drivers to it?
Which version is recomended?
SP2 or SP3?

If you're going 64-bit, I'd recommend Vista over XP. The driver situation has improved... but it's still not as good as Vista.

Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit; Intel Q6600 CPU; E-VGA 780i SLI motherboard; E-VGA E-GeForce 8800GT; OCZ Vista 4GB dual-channel kit; Ultra X2 750W power supply; 2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB in RAID 0.

But then again its pretty much the unending discussion about XP vs Vista :P

Its most likely like you say more updated on drivers on the Vista side. But the main question is;
Is Vista more stable and reliable than x64 XP PRO?

Well considering I haven't rebooted my computer in over a month except for automatic reboots after updates have installed; I'd say Vista's stability is top notch. I haven't seen a single blue screen. Not saying that XP isn't good... just saying that Vista is better.
